Audi A6/A7 C7 Replica B&O Speaker Install

The overall steps are:

  1. Remove the driver side fuse box cover: In order to power the control module you will be installing two new fuse slots. You should use a multi meter to find out which fuse slots to use (Power vs. Accessory).
The necessary fuse connector to add a new circuit to the car’s fuse box should have been provided.
You will also need to attach the ground wire; there is a screw + nut in the upper left corner that can be used for the ground connection.
  2. Use the following picture as an overall guide:

  3. If you got the LED version each speaker comes with 2x unmarked (red) wires. Depending on what color light you wish to have you will attach none/or one/or both of these wires to the one black wire in the harness. This will give you the effect of:
    1. no light (no wire)
    2. blue light (one of the wires)
    3. red light (the other wire)
    4. purple light (red+blue) (both wires)
  4. I decided to make my own micro switches to make the process of switching the colors easier:

  5. Remove the speaker frame and unscrew the old Bose speakers (two screws). Note: Space will be very tight under the windshield so you might have to get “shallow” L-wrenches to be able to reach the screws.

  6. Here the yellow wire is the black wire from the harness and you can see one of the switches (2) for blue is on:IMG_20190123_215845.jpg
  7. Use some twist wire connectors (not provided) to connect the wires.

  1. Just ordered these, thanks for the awesome guide! Would you be able to prove a diagram for the dip switch set up you made? It’s a little hard to tell from the picture

    1. Sure: https://i.imgur.com/try8qMh.png

I didn’t have any one pole inputs left so I just used a 2 pole and soldered the two inputs together.

If I were to do this again I would use a 4 pole switch on one board and route the wires from the passenger side back to somewhere near the control module which is more accessible.

      Cheers!

  2. Hi,
Do those speakers sound much better than original bose’s? I’m thinking of replacing original tweeters and center speaker, since they sound like they were covered with a blanket (no clarity at all)…

  3. Street view support ended a couple of years ago. As the note on top says Google Earth support was ended in 2020 but a couple of month ago it inexplicitly came back.
